We have some news that we are incredibly proud to share.

Premier Jobs UK has been named Top People-First Recruiter at the FT Adviser Workplace Excellence Awards 2026, held at the stunning Hyatt Regency The Churchill in London. It is an honour that belongs to every single person in our business, and the story behind it is one worth telling properly.

A Relationship with FT Adviser That Goes Back Years

Long before the awards existed, Premier Jobs UK had a relationship with FT Adviser built on genuine respect for what they stand for.

We had been advertising on FT Adviser consistently for years, week in, week out, because we have always believed that reaching the right candidates means showing up in the right places. FT Adviser is the home of financial services professionals in the UK. It made sense to us then, and it still does now.

So when FT Adviser approached us and invited us to participate in the Workplace Excellence Awards, it felt meaningful. Not just as an opportunity, but as a recognition that the work we had been doing quietly and consistently had been noticed.

We said yes immediately.

Writing the Entry: Articulating What We Actually Do

Putting together an award entry forces you to do something most businesses rarely take the time to do properly: clearly articulate what you stand for and why it matters.

Our entry focused on the three pillars that define how we work.

Trustpilot as a public accountability tool. Most businesses use review platforms as a marketing exercise. We use Trustpilot differently. Every candidate interaction, whether they are placed or not, is open to independent public scrutiny. Over the past 12 months we surpassed 1,000 five-star reviews and currently rank number two in the Recruiters category nationally. We review that feedback as a team to understand what candidates value and where we can keep raising the bar.

Talk FS, our non-commercial podcast. Talk FS was created to support inclusion, understanding and confidence across financial services, entirely outside of our commercial activity. Season 2 delivered 15 bi-weekly episodes and achieved 38,301 views. Guest selection is intentional, with a focus on balanced representation and diverse career journeys. Half of Season 2 episodes featured female guests. The show has featured respected industry figures including Peter McGahan on ethical financial planning, and TV personality and financial advice educator Emmanuel Asuquo on widening access and representation in the profession.

Relationship-led recruitment and candidate support. Our newsletters, tailored to Financial Advisers, Mortgage Advisers and support professionals, have achieved an average open rate of 81.95% since launch. Alongside this, Tyler Keane's structured pastoral candidate engagement programme proactively reconnects with over 900 candidates per year, offering empathetic, holistic support at every stage of their career, not just when they are actively looking for a role.

Together, these initiatives reflect something we have always believed: people-first recruitment is not a single gesture. It is an ecosystem.

The Night Itself: London, The Churchill, and a Room Full of the Best in the Industry

The awards evening took place at the Hyatt Regency The Churchill in London, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this was going to be a special night.

Attending on behalf of Premier Jobs UK were Gary Venner (CEO), Ryan Venner (MD), Adrian Watson (Senior Recruitment Consultant), Alfie Williams (Recruitment Consultant), Derek Gair (Senior Recruitment Consultant), Georgina Winton (Client Relationship Co-Ordinator), Tyler Keane (Candidate Relationship Co-Ordinator), and Daniel Sawyer (Marketing Executive). A number of other team members were very much with us in spirit on the night.

Before the ceremony began, guests were invited to mingle over drinks, and it immediately felt less like a corporate awards night and more like a genuine gathering of people who care about their industry. The calibre of the room was outstanding, and the conversations that came from that networking time were some of the most energising of the evening.

Meeting Pinky Lilani: A Moment That Stayed With Us

Before the ceremony got underway, we had the opportunity to meet Pinky Lilani CBE DL, Founder and Chairman of the Women of the Future Programme and one of the evening's speakers. It was one of those conversations you do not forget in a hurry.

Pinky's talk was unlike anything we had expected. Warm, funny and deeply personal, she spoke about her life, her journey to England, and a philosophy built around one simple but powerful idea: kindness. She talked about the people who had made a difference in her own life, the ones she calls the coriander, the ingredient that transforms everything around it, and how the one trait they all shared was kindness.

What struck us most was how naturally her message connected to what we were all there to celebrate. Kindness is not soft. It is not naive. As Pinky put it, kind people are more fulfilled, more productive, and nobody ever forgets when someone has been kind to them. In a room full of businesses being recognised for putting people first, that landed with real weight.

She also spoke about the Women of the Future Programme, her lifelong commitment to championing the next generation of leaders, and the role of inclusion in building cultures that genuinely work. For a team that cares deeply about how we show up for the people we work with, it was exactly the kind of address that reminds you why any of this matters.

When They Called Our Name

The ceremony itself was hosted by Simoney Kyriakou, Senior Editor at FT Adviser, and she set the tone from the very first moment. Warm and genuinely funny, Simoney kept the room engaged and entertained throughout the evening. It never felt like a stuffy corporate affair. It felt like a celebration, and she deserves real credit for that.

As the People-First Recruiter category was announced, the room fell into that familiar hush that comes before a winner is revealed.

When Premier Jobs UK was called, it took a moment to land. You enter these evenings hoping, but never quite expecting. The table erupted. The walk up to collect the award is one of those moments that is difficult to put into words, the kind that reminds you why you do what you do and that the way you choose to do it matters.

It was a room full of businesses that genuinely care about their people, and being recognised among them meant everything.

What This Award Means to Us

Winning the People-First Recruiter award at the FT Adviser Workplace Excellence Awards 2026 is not something we will take lightly.

People-first recruitment has never been a marketing line for us. It is a commitment that shapes how we hire, how we train, how we communicate, and how we show up for every candidate and client, even where doing the right thing has been the slower or less commercial path.

Our average team tenure is 8.5 years. Eight members of our team have served for over a decade. That continuity is not an accident. It is the result of building a culture where integrity matters and people are genuinely valued, internally and externally.

This award belongs to the whole team, including those who could not be there on the night. Every candidate call made with care, every newsletter that landed at the right moment, every role filled thoughtfully rather than quickly. None of it happens by accident. This award is proof of that.

We are proud. And we are just getting started.
