Group Financial Accountant
Description
This remote based Group Financial Accountant job provides
opportunity to work directly for a growing financial planning and wealth
management business.
The group has acquired several existing firms across the UK
and is in the process of amalgamating them into the group structure. They have
completed the process of building their footprint across the UK with regional
hubs and will now begin to focus on growing each office through smaller
acquisitions and organic growth.
You will be joining their Group Finance department
consisting of 8, who are responsible for the management and financial
accounting for all entities within the group. Your responsibilities will
include:
- Integrating
and aligning processes across the newly acquired businesses, by bringing
the finance function in-house (often this is currently outsourced) - Streamlining
the group structure by closing smaller entities which will include
transferring costs, ensuring final tax return has been paid, issuing
dividends and striking off Companies House - Producing
month end and statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors - Enhancing
and improving processes such as, rolling out a new expense package,
oversee migration of QuickBooks to Xero
This role requires an individual with technical accounting
experience, with strong experience in audit and technical consolidation. This
is best suited to an Accountant within a public practice working on accounts
for larger firms with complex accounting structures.
The finance team all work remotely with a collaborative,
open and trusting work relationship.
Group Financial Accountant Requirements
- You
must be a qualified and practicing Accountant with audit and technical
consolidation experience - You
must have experience of preparing accounts for large, public firms - Individuals
with prior experience within one of the big 4 accountancy firms would be
preferrable - Individuals
with experience of the following would be beneficial for this role: - Use
of Xero - Working
within FCA regulated business - Experience
of amalgamating group entities as a result of acquisitions
