Are you a Financial Adviser in Gloucestershire (or within 50 mile radius) looking to retire or exit from Financial Services with up to £100m of FuM?

The Company

Our client company was established in the summer of 2021 with offices based in Cheltenham. The Principal has over 10 years experience as a fund manager for one of the UK’s largest discretionary fund managers and has developed a client bank of high net worth individuals. They have grown their FuM to £50m. As well as offering discretionary fund management via a formidable wealth manager listed on the NYSE who manages £13bn FuM for 45,000 clients the Cheltenham based advisory firm offer open architecture to enable clients to stay invested on existing investment mandates. The firm have strong financials evidenced by their profitable trading since inception and funding is in place to support their growth plans through acquisitions.

This is ideal if:

• You are considering retirement
• You want a fair and highly competitive price for your client bank
• You would like a structured, simple handover that is sensitive to your clients
• You only want to deal with a financially sound and highly reputable Financial Advisory firm
• You want your clients to be looked after by local Advisers

Value

• Generally a multiple of 3.5x to 4x of ongoing fee income.
• Typical deal structure of 50% upfront on completion, 25% at 12 months and 25% at 24 months

Benefits

• Open architecture to leave clients on existing mandates whilst new relationships are built with advisers
• Honour existing charging structures as their focus will be to build relationships and trust with the clients  
• Happy with both share and asset purchases

Criteria

• You must be a Financial Adviser, with up to £100m FuM
• Ideally average holdings of at least £300,000 but they're happy to review on a case by case basis 
• Clean compliance record with no / few upheld complaints nor DB Pension Transfers
• Vendor to stay on in an ambassadorial capacity to help with client handovers

Locations

Ideally as close to Cheltenham as possible but would consider businesses in the M5 /M4 corridor, Oxfordshire and Swindon
